I've been looking for the perfect brown lipstick for a while. I even bought a few, but none were worth talking about, except this one. Antique Velvet is actually a part of the new matte collection and don't worry, they are not limited edition.

At first glance, this seems very similar to Sin, also by MAC. However, the moment I swatched both of them, I could clearly see the difference. They look nothing alike. Antique Velvet is a true dark brown and Sin is a beautiful burgundy.

This product is very pigmented and like any other matte lipstick from MAC that I've tried, this lasts a long time on the lips. Even though it's a dark color, it does not stain my lips and it's very creamy. I would highly recommend to wear this with a lip liner or apply it with a brush, as you can see I didn't, so it looked a bit rough around my mouth.

This is actually the darkest lip color I own. It's absolutely stunning and I truly love it. This looks incredible on any skin tone. If you are daring and enjoy distinct shades, this is ideal for you.

The moment I read that MAC was releasing a new collection of matte lipsticks, I knew I had to get some of them. I've always been a fan of Whirl lip pencil, so purchasing the lipstick was a must. By the way, all of these new lipsticks are now a part of the regular collection.

Whirl is described as a "dirty rose" and it's a beautiful everyday nude lip color. Even though it has a matte finish, it is quite creamy and easy to apply. Also, the color payoff is impressive. It didn't transfer to my teeth and it didn't stain my lips either. Like all the MAC lipsticks I have tried, this is really long lasting. It only started to wear off after four hours.

The lipstick and the lip liner are not identical, but very similar. The lipstick has a hint of brown in it and the lip pencil is slightly lighter. I can totally see myself wearing this nonstop. This instantly became my favorite lip color when I first swatched it.

I recently did my "Top 5 Pink Lipsticks" so, of course, I had to do the same thing for vampy lip colors. Most of my lipsticks are high end, mainly because I adore a true matte finish and I can never find something like that on the drugstore. If you have any recommendation from the drugstore, definitely let me know.

• MAC Rebel (Satin) - If you're looking for a unique lipstick, you must check this one. Rebel is a purplish fuchsia. On some people it looks more pink, on others it shows a lot more purple. It's super creamy and glossy looking, but it has an outstanding lasting power.
• MAC Sin (Matte) - If I had to choose only one vampy lipstick, this would be the one. It's a burgundy with a blue undertone and it has a beautiful opaque finish. It's the darkest color amongst this top five.
• Dior Rouge 999 (Glossy) - This is a classic red with a subtle orange undertone. It's highly pigmented and moisturizing. Also, it's really long lasting, especially for its glossy finish.
• MAC Viva Glam III (Matte) - Considering this a matte, it's very creamy and easy to apply. It's a beautiful berry color with a brown undertone.
• MAC Ruby Woo (Retro Matte) - Another classic bright red on this list, however, Ruby Woo is really different from Dior's 999. It has an incredibly dry consistency, and a blue undertone.

I'm not usually a fan of pink lipsticks, so I tend to be extra specific when it comes to choosing one. However, there are a few that I love and I wear constantly. To meet my "requirements" the lip color has to be opaque and have a mauve base. As you can see, not all of these fit my standard, but for some reason, I like how they look with my pale complexion.

• MAC Flat Out Fabulous (Retro Matte) - It's described as a "bright plum matte", but on my lips it looks more like a magenta. It's highly pigmented and its longevity is impressive.
• Sleek Makeup Birthday Suit (Liquid Lipstick / Matte) - I'm obsessed with liquid lipsticks that dry matte and this is literally perfect. It's a gorgeous mauve pink.
• Smashbox Pink Petal (Satin / Gloss) - This is a bubblegum pink which I normally wouldn't wear, but I adore how creamy and unique it is.
• Benefit Life On The A List (Gloss) - When I need a pink lip gloss, this is my go-to. It's a light pink and it's very pigmented.
• MAC Rebel (Satin) - At first glance you would think this is a purple lipstick, right? No! Actually, this is a fuchsia. It is a darker pink with a purple undertone. I love how creamy and long lasting this is.

What are some of your favorite pink lip products?

I never really understood lipsticks that came in a palette. They are not practical at all, you always have to have a lipstick brush (It has to be clean!) and it takes so long to apply when compared to a standard lipstick in a bullet. For some reason, I was drawn to these colors and I thought it would be a good idea to try something different.

This palette has two satin lipsticks and two glosses. It comes with a small lip brush, which is pretty good. I usually struggle to use such small brushes, but not with this one. The packaging is also really nice.

• Frappuccino (Gloss) is the only shade I would never wear on its own. It's very peachy yellow and it doesn't have the best color payoff. This is actually ideal to mix with the other shades and create an ombré lip or simply to make your lipstick lighter.
• Cookie (Satin) is the perfect 90's lip color. It's a light brown with a hint of mauve. Also, it's highly pigmented and long lasting.
• Crème Brulee (Satin) is a dark brown with a red undertone. It's super pigmented and it stays on for many hours. It's soft and moisturizing.
• Rum (Gloss) is a beautiful burgundy and the most stunning dark gloss I've tried. It's highly pigmented, considering its finish.

Overall, I'm going to wear these frequently, even Frappuccino! This is definitely aimed for makeup artists or people that enjoy "creating" their own lip color. If you are someone who doesn't have time to spend applying lipstick, you would find this quite a bother. Personally, I really enjoy trying new things and playing around with makeup. I would totally repurchase it.

I hear all the time about liquid lipsticks that dry matte and until this day I've never had an opportunity to try one. When I placed my order at Sleek Makeup and I saw that they had this sort of product, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Birthday Suit is the perfect everyday lip color and also, a really good dupe for the famous Kylie Jenner mauve lipstick.

When this dries, it really turns out matte. It gives a truly beautiful finish. You do have to let it dry first and then, it's all good. I even tried rubbing my hand against my lips in hopes that something would come off, or should I say in hopes that nothing would come off?! I just expected that some trace of this lipstick would transfer to my hand, but fortunately not even a tiny smudge happened.

I am very picky when it comes to lipsticks, but I'm super excited to say that this definitely passed my "test". I did go out to have lunch, and even after eating and drinking my lipstick was intact. This is so convenient if you are lazy like me, or if you don't want to worry about reapplying your lip color throughout the day. I was very surprised by how incredible this product is, specially considering the price. This is the most stunning mauve with a hint of pink that I have seen.

In summary, this is my favorite everyday lip color. If you are a matte lover, and you have a chance to pick up this beauty, just go for it! I'm sure you will love it as much as I do. After hearing and reading about how amazing Sleek products are, I ordered four items. Which I'll be reviewing in the next few days. For today, I decided to comment on this palette. I don't own a lot of matte shadows, so when I saw this palette I knew I had to get it. By the way, in some swatches they do have a sheen to them, but that's due to the bright lights in my room.

It comes with twelve matte eyeshadows, one brush and a full-size mirror. For being matte, I'm amazingly surprised by how pigmented these shadows are. Usually, matte eyeshadows are very chalky and poorly pigmented, but these have such a great color payoff. They also blend really well.

Highness is probably the most unique shadow in this palette. On the packaging it's a true purple, but when you swatch it, you can really see a lot of magenta. The moment you apply it you still have a beautiful purple, but when you blend, that color starts to turn into a bright fuchsia. Flesh and Dune are the most wearable colors. They are perfect transition shades. Finding a good black shadow can be quite a task, I was amazed to discover that Noir is very pigmented.

Overall, these eyeshadows are amazing. Especially considering how inexpensive they are. I know I will be using this palette nonstop in future videos.

Right now, I only use these two to create my blog content and also, my videos. However, I'll not go into detail about my YouTube channel, because I'll address this subject in a future video. When it comes to photography, I have to admit that I'm not a professional and everything that I learned was through the Internet and, trial and error. Almost every single photo on my blog was taken with a Nikon D3200 and a 35mm lens. The reason why I say almost is because right when I started blogging I used to use a Canon SX40 HS, but I've been trying to erase all of that and create a better content. Let's just say, I wasn't very good at taking pictures even on auto mode. But that's acceptable, you don't have to be great at it right when you start. It takes time and practice to learn about angles, lighting, color correction, manual settings and the list goes on.

If you're starting out, you don't necessarily have to invest in a DSLR camera. Nowadays, point and shoots are very resourceful and you will be able to take great shots with it.

I recently acquired a Canon Rebel T5i with a 50mm 1.8 II lens. I just really needed to step up my YouTube game. The Nikon D3200 is a great camera, but when it comes to videos it does lack in many ways. For instance, it does not have a flip-out screen, it does not allow tethered shooting with a computer and the autofocus is not the best. Now back to blogging, both cameras take amazing photos. If you are looking for a great camera especially for products' pictures I would recommend any of these. Now, if you need to take portrait pictures of yourself, stay away from cameras that don't have a flip-out screen.


This part is meant for beauty bloggers or anyone that is trying to showcase an object. Instead of always using a white table/surface, why not add a pop of color and create an interesting background?! I often use colorful papers, magazines and even fabric. It really adds a lot of personality to the picture and the end result is stunning. Sometimes I place the product I'm photographing on my bed, and I make sure that the blanket underneath it is really messy, so it gives some dimension to the picture. This step is very personal, it's really up to you to decide what works with your "theme" and what doesn't. It's all about being creative and adding your touch to it.



This is probably one of the hardest things to get right. You can either use natural lighting or artificial lighting, in my case I use both combined. I drew these illustrations so you could easily understand how my setups in two different cases are. For portrait pictures I place my tripod right in front of me and my umbrella in a 15 degree angle. For taking photos of objects I prefer to remove the umbrella and apply direct light onto the product, so it brightens the entire area. My umbrella has one light bulb and I use a standard fluorescent light. 

This is what works for me, and I know that it's preferable to sit in front of a window. However, my bedroom is small and my bed is right in front of the window, therefore I had to improvise and make the best of a bad situation. It's important to balance the lights, if you have a window on one side and you can't face it, use some sort of artificial lighting on the other side.


Like I said before, you will not be good at first. There is so much to learn and the only way to do so is by practicing and researching. I don't think I'm reaching my full potential, but I sure am trying. Don't forget, you can never learn too much, there is always room for improvement. So go get your camera, take several photos on different settings and see what looks best.

Urban Decay eyeshadows are one of my favorites and the quality speaks for itself. This palette comes with six shimmery shadows, a lip-plumping gloss and a decent sized mirror. An interesting fact, you can remove the inside and use it as a makeup bag.

All eyeshadows are intense, the color payoff is incredible and they blend beautifully. This is the perfect case of "a little bit goes a long way". However, I have to admit, the top three shadows are not as buttery as the other three on the bottom part. A few of them have some fall out, while others don't.

These shadows are really versatile, you can create several different looks. My favorite shade in this palette is Mushroom, followed by Deeper. When compared to the others, these two are the most creamy/pigmented.

I'm always up for enhancing my lips and this lip plumper seems to help a little bit. I wouldn't say that it's like getting lip fillers, but it does give a slight illusion of an enhanced pout. It tingles a little bit and it has some fine glitter in it.

I use this palette very often, the color range is amazing and the pigmentation is extraordinary. Also, the lip gloss is great, that reminds me that I'm almost running out of mine.

Yesterday I was doing my makeup and I realized that I haven't reviewed this product yet. I believe that finding a good eyeshadow primer is the most effective way of getting your makeup to look more professional. It's awful when you put so much effort into the eye makeup and a few hours later your eyeshadow is creasing.

Paint Pots are a cream eyeshadow that can be used in a variety of ways, such as primer, eyeliner and on their own. In this case, Soft Ochre is incredibly versatile and could be used as a concealer, it really just depends on your skin tone. For reference, I'm a NC15 and it matches my complexion almost perfectly.

This has a matte finish and a light yellow undertone. On the container it looks really dark, however when it's blended it becomes much lighter. It has a thick consistency and you have to be really quick to blend it, or it will create some dry patches all over your eyelid.

As a primer this is incredible. It prevents creasing and it keeps your makeup in place for a long period of time. Also, it's great in case you just want to cancel out discoloration. Overall, I really love this product. I would without a doubt repurchase it.

Gel liners are the easiest way to do your eyeliner. If you're a beginner when it comes to makeup, or even if you're just not acquainted with eyeliners in general, I would highly recommend to start with cream liners.

Blacktrack is jet black and it dries opaque. It's pigmented, but not extremely pigmented, and the color is buildable. In order to do that, it's necessary to let it dry first and then proceed to apply a second layer. It's long lasting and it does not crack. However, I would advise to use a decent amount of product or you will not get a lot of color out of it.

I have been using this eyeliner nonstop for almost a year and so far it seems to be in the same condition as when I bought it. It hasn't dried out, it's very creamy and easy to work with.

From all the eyeliners I've tried, liquid liners included, this is my favorite. Even though, you kind of have to build up the color or be generous with the quantity you use, I really like the way it looks and how long it lasts. I will continue to use and repurchase it until the day I find something better.

I don't tend to gravitate towards cream products, because they get stale before powders and overall, they are messy to work with. However, since I tried both of these, I feel like giving a chance to others with a similar consistency.

These are amazing, they allow you to be creative and use them for whatever you desire. They are great eyeshadow bases, on their own and as eyeliner. Also, depending on the shade you get, I've seen people using them to highlight and contour.

Bad to the Bronze is a beautiful bronze with gold shimmer. Pomegranate Punk is a burgundy with an iridescent reflection. They're extremely pigmented and the color is buildable. Even though my eyelids are oily, they neither crease, nor start to look bad after a while.

I wouldn't worry about smudging, once it dries it does not budge. After swatching, I tried removing them from my hand using soap and water, but it would not even move a little bit. No need to panic, makeup remover will do the job.

I'm seriously in love with these eyeshadows. They're inexpensive and their quality is impeccable. I've had mine for a few months and they're still very creamy.

Which one is your favorite?

I purchased this palette a while ago and all it took me was one swatch to fall in love with it. First things first, the packaging is stunning and really creative. It comes with four shimmery shadows and a full-size mirror.

These are by far the most buttery eyeshadows I've ever swatched. They remind me of pressed pigments instead of normal shadows, because they're highly pigmented and a little bit goes a long way. They have a beautiful reflection effect and no chunks of glitter. Even blending these shadows is easy and it takes no time to achieve the desired look.

Hyperballad is a light blue, sometimes it's possible to see a bit of lilac in it. Scandinavian is one of my go to eyeshadows, it's a gorgeous antique silver. Oceansize is a bright blue with hints of silver. Last but not least, Ville is an intense purple.

I cannot say enough good things about this product. I'm so glad to have found this incredible palette. When it comes to quality, this is definitely at the top of the list!

This is the first time I try a NARS product, and I only bought this because the MAC Pro Longwear in my shade was sold out. But I'm so ecstatic to have "stumbled" upon this concealer.

Let's take a moment to appreciate this packaging. It is great to prevent wasting too much product. Also, it's made of plastic, so you don't have to worry about accidentally breaking it.

Chantilly is the lightest shade and it's incredibly white. This is a full coverage concealer and it has quite a thick consistency. This has sort of a dewy finish, it covers dark circles beautifully and it gives a radiant look to it. Even applying a lot of product under the eyes it will still look like skin. When it comes to creasing, right when I applied it, I noticed some minimal lines going on. However, nothing major or unexpected. It does not budge, even after a long period of time.

I don't think I have to say in which picture I have concealer on, right? On the second photo I didn't apply powder on top of the concealer, because I wanted to show how it really looks. Just to clarify, the darkness under my eyes close to my lash line is an eyeshadow. I just had to finish my makeup.

I think it's fair to say that this is my favorite concealer so far. It really hides and brightens my under eye area. This is "heaven" in a bottle!

Which is your favorite concealer?

This pigment is duochromed, which means the color changes as you blend. It reflects blue, but it is red/brown based. If you try to blend it you can see really well the red showing through. This is very intense on its own, but if you want to attain an extremely metallic look I would highly recommend applying the pigment wet. That's what I did to achieve the result displayed in this picture.
This was the first pigment that ever caught my eyes. Its consistency is very different from the others, it looks like chunks of glitter attached to one another. If you try to apply it without any primer, Fix + or glitter glue you will be very disappointed with the effect it gives. However, if you use something to intensify its pigmentation you will discover the most mesmerizing product. For this swatch I used eye drops and created sort of a paste, and personally this is one of the best ways I found to enhance its shimmer and avoid massive fallout.
This is by far the most pigmented one. No primer or anything at all is needed to attain a strong color. This is a true case of "less is more". Also, for this swatch I didn't use any primer whatsoever. Liquid Gold has such a different gold tone, it's very yellowish and for some that might be scary, but trust me, this makes one of the most flattering eyeshadow looks.
