I often get questions about which foundation I use and how to achieve a "flawless" base. Here is a peek into my favorite face products. I have oily skin but depending on the time of year I develop dry patches, so far this routine has been effective for my needs and liking.

I always start by applying, with my hands, the Nivea Men Sensitive After Shave Balm all over my face in circular motions. This will create a sticky base that will keep the foundation in place. Since I have some large pores I also apply, with patting motions, the Benefit Porefessional and instantly I can see that it fills those areas. For around six months I've been using and loving the MAC Matchmaster Foundation, it gives a matte finish and it's perfect for oily skin. To apply this product I alternate between a buffing brush and a beauty sponge. Next, I usually use the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for my under eyes and blemishes. To blend it and still maintain a full coverage I use a damp beauty sponge. The final step is to set everything in place in order to prevent it from creasing and budging. To do that I swear by the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, which as a matter of fact, I need to repurchase because I just finished my sample.

I'm not usually a fan of pink lipsticks, so I tend to be extra specific when it comes to choosing one. However, there are a few that I love and I wear constantly. To meet my "requirements" the lip color has to be opaque and have a mauve base. As you can see, not all of these fit my standard, but for some reason, I like how they look with my pale complexion.

• MAC Flat Out Fabulous (Retro Matte) - It's described as a "bright plum matte", but on my lips it looks more like a magenta. It's highly pigmented and its longevity is impressive.
• Sleek Makeup Birthday Suit (Liquid Lipstick / Matte) - I'm obsessed with liquid lipsticks that dry matte and this is literally perfect. It's a gorgeous mauve pink.
• Smashbox Pink Petal (Satin / Gloss) - This is a bubblegum pink which I normally wouldn't wear, but I adore how creamy and unique it is.
• Benefit Life On The A List (Gloss) - When I need a pink lip gloss, this is my go-to. It's a light pink and it's very pigmented.
• MAC Rebel (Satin) - At first glance you would think this is a purple lipstick, right? No! Actually, this is a fuchsia. It is a darker pink with a purple undertone. I love how creamy and long lasting this is.

What are some of your favorite pink lip products?

I never upload a raw photo to my Instagram because it tends to lack brightness, contrast or even both. To fix those details I have some apps I always use and they're all free. I've talked about my two absolute favorites on my 5 Apps I Can't Live Without, which I shared my favorite music, social media and picture editing apps. Therefore, I won't be mentioning them on this post.

1. Moldiv - I love using this to create collages of products. It has so many templates to choose from and it really allows you to customize your photo.
2. Skitch - If you're creative and you enjoy personalizing your pictures, you will love this one. It's perfect to design some overlays, you can write and draw on top of any photograph.
3. InstaSize - This is ideal when you have rectangular photos and you don't want to cut off a part of it. You have a lot of options when it comes to borders and my go-to is called "Blur". In case you don't know what I'm talking about, you probably have seen on Instagram pictures that instead of having a white border, it has a blurry version of that same picture.
4. Snapseed - This app quickly became one of my favorites. I has some really unique features, such as "Selective". Which allows you to choose a specific point to highlight. I've been using this to make my eyes pop. You can also crop, tune and spot correct.
5. Phonto - This has many filters, but I mainly use it to add a watermark to my pictures. Finding a good free watermark app can be very difficult, but with this one you can modify the font, color and size.

I didn't have enough favorites to do a post for the month of June, so I decided to combine June and July, in order to share some of my most used makeup products.

• Sleek Makeup Matte Me in Birthday Suit - For me this is the most beautiful lip color at the moment. Basically, I've only been wearing this liquid lipstick. It's highly pigmented, it gives a true matte finish and it doesn't budge.
• Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk - This is an oldie, but a goodie. This past months I've been loving this cream eyeshadow, specially to use it as an eyeliner. It just adds a pop of creativity to any look.
• The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer - Since everyone is talking about "Strobing" I thought it would be a great idea to mention, once again, my favorite highlighter. This is my go-to luminizer and even though I already talked about it many times, I just can not get enough of this product.
• Sleek Makeup Ultra Mattes V2 Darks - Since I bought this palette I've been using it nonstop. It's so versatile and the color payoff is extraordinary. It's really hard to find at least decent quality matte eyeshadows, but these are incredible.
