Makeup Geek Pigments: Insomnia, Utopia & Liquid Gold Review & Swatches
23.2.15
Let's talk about love at first sight!
This pigment is duochromed, which means the color changes as you blend. It reflects blue, but it is red/brown based. If you try to blend it you can see really well the red showing through. This is very intense on its own, but if you want to attain an extremely metallic look I would highly recommend applying the pigment wet. That's what I did to achieve the result displayed in this picture. This is by far the most pigmented one. No primer or anything at all is needed to attain a strong color. This is a true case of "less is more". Also, for this swatch I didn't use any primer whatsoever. Liquid Gold has such a different gold tone, it's very yellowish and for some that might be scary, but trust me, this makes one of the most flattering eyeshadow looks.
