I've been planning to do this video for quite a long time. I've seen a few people doing it and I really wanted to share some of my personal eyeshadow do's and don'ts. There are obviously no rules to makeup, but like I said, these are my tips for a beautiful smokey eye makeup. I can't even begin to talk about how long it took me to improve my technique... If you do and like something I consider a don't, then by all means ignore me and you do you! I'm not here to school you on what's right and wrong. I just thought this video was a fun idea and hopefully helpful for those that are starting to get into makeup and have had some difficulties along the way. Hope you enjoy this and take no offense on what I said.

Wearing a matte lipstick or even a liquid lipstick seems like a "safe" option. They last a long time and have that beautiful opaque finish. But most of the times, it won't look half as good as it looks on the photos we see online. I struggled with applying these kind of lipsticks before. They can make lip lines appear deeper and crack after a few hours of use. However, if you know how to properly prep your lips, you can achieve a flawless look.

This step is crucial, especially if you already have chapped lips. A lip scrub or even using your toothbrush will get the job done. In case you don't have a lip scrub, you can make one yourself by simply mixing honey and sugar.

I can't stress enough about how important it is to keep your lips moisturized. Applying a lip balm or even your normal face moisturizer beforehand will "fill in" those fine lines. Just don't forget to remove the excess product before applying the matte/liquid lipstick.
Using a lip pencil with a similar color to your lipstick of choice, will help you get perfect edges. It will serve as a guideline and help prevent bleeding, as in lipstick running out of your actual lips and into those fine lines around your mouth.

When it comes to liquid lipsticks, I learned that it's better to apply a fine layer instead of using way too much product. This way you most likely won't have any cracking happening. Also, using a lot of product will leave a very thick feeling to your lips.

Final step is to choose a concealer that matches your skintone and correct any rough edge. This part will give you that "photoshopped" effect.

What are some of your tips for a perfectly applied lipstick?

When I think of good quality brushes, I instantly think of Sigma Beauty. I've never been disappointed by any of their products and I'm slowly replacing my old brushes, with new ones from them. I have reviewed some of their brushes before, and my opinion hasn't changed at all.

• Blending E25* - One of my absolute favorite brushes, that I've mentioned several times, is the MAC 217. When I saw the Sigma E25 ($14.00) I noticed how similar they looked and I had to test both of them, in order to see if this brush is a dupe for the 217 ($25.00). As much as I love MAC, I have to say the Sigma one is so much softer. For some reason, sometimes my 217 feels a little rough, especially when I use it on my under eye area. The E25 from Sigma is the brush everyone needs in their collection. It has an oval shape that gives a beautiful blended look. 
• Pencil E30* - You have no idea how excited I was for this brush. I don't own any brush as small as this one. This is incredible for blending eyeshadow on delicate areas, such as the under eye and to do cut creases. It gives a lot of precision due to its pointed shape. This is definitely one of my holy grail products for 2016.
• Exact Blend E32* - This one is the kind of brush you can use for many purposes. It is ideal for packing eyeshadow and diffusing the edges at the same time. I like to use it to apply my brow bone highlighter and add eyeshadow to the outer corner of the eye.
• Spotlight Duster F37* - I think most people would use this to set their concealer with powder on the under eye area or to dust any fallout. I, on the other hand, love this for highlighter. It is relatively big, but it gives such a beautiful effect. The bristles are extremely soft. It honestly feels like you're using the tale of a baby unicorn to do your makeup. All jokes aside, I'm seriously in love with this brush.
• Lip L05* - This little guy, is perfect to keep in your makeup bag. It comes with a cap, so you don't have to worry about smearing lipstick all over your belongings. If you love cream contouring, you can also use this to create delicate lines around your nose. It is the perfect size for that.

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that recently I received a surprise package from Sigma Beauty. I was really excited to try out all of the products, but since there were so many of them, I decided to review them in three separate posts.

I don't have many crayon lipsticks, but I love the concept behind it. The twist up crayon shape makes applying it very convenient and it gives a lot of precision. Own It* is a gorgeous deep purple shade with a satin finish, and it has an amazing color payoff. It's very creamy and comfortable to wear. It's also quite long lasting considering the dark color and how moisturizing it is. The color is buildable, but with just one layer I achieved an opaque look.

Lately, I've been obsessed over colored eye pencils. I think they're absolutely perfect for spring and summer. This baby blue liner instantly "spoke" to me, and I knew at that moment, I would use it all the time. My Cloud* is super soft, pigmented and it glides on smoothly on the waterline. I have the most sensitive/watery eyes and this stays on for quite some time. It also blends beautifully if you choose to smudge it.

I really like both of these products, their quality is outstanding. If you enjoy bold lip colors, you need this crayon in your life and this liner is perfect for whoever likes a pop of color. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I am in love with Sigma's packaging. Everything is so elegant!
